653 Champlain Royal Canadian Air Cadet squadron has been providing local youth with fun exciting opportunities for over 62 years. This year the tradition continues! Air Cadets is Canada’s largest youth training program with over 26,000 members because this modern peer-led program developed life and work skills with something for everyone. Interested in learning to fly? How about learning wilderness survival skills, or becoming better public speaker? Have you ever been orienteering or tried biathlon? Develop friendships, citizenship, leadership. Cadets offers this and so much more.

There’s no fees to join, training nights are Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 9 pm, as well as some weekends throughout the school year, and a chance to qualify for summer training courses. Come on out and see, your Squadron is waiting for you!

Youth 12 years of age and up along with their parents/guardians are invited to our open house and registration night Tuesday September 10th at 7pm at RCAFA 433 Wing, 164 Argyle Street South in Renfrew. Bring your birth certificate, (or citizenship certificate) and your provincial health card, and an interest in adventure.

“Air Cadets helped turn me into the astronaut I became. It’s where I learned self-discipline, leadership, and how to fly.” Col. Chris Hadfield
